Mrs. Exie Van Syoc

Mrs. Exie E. VanSyoc, 82, of Milton died Sunday, March 7 at 1:15 a.m. at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua following a lingering illness.

She was born June 27, 1888, in Henry County, the daughter of Joel and Martha Leeper Zingg. On Feb. 5, 1908, she married Sam Van Syoc. He died March 28, 1965. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and its W.S.C.S.

Surviving are one daughter, Mayme Helsel of Milton; one grandson, two ste--grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

The service was Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Milton United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Herbert Phillips. Burial was at noon in Center Cemetery, near Wayland.
