Louis G. Schroeder

Louis G. Schroeder, 73, of Salt Lake City, Utah, died Jan. 4, at 6:15 p.m. at University Medical Center in Salt Lake City. He had been in failing health for some time.

He was born July 10, 1897 in For(t) Madison, the son of John and Mary Brockhagen Schroeder. He had been a resident of Salt Lake City the past 16 years.

He married Bertha Beach on April 10, 1922 at Fort Madison. She died in 1954.

Mr. Schroeder was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic church in Salt Lake City.

Surviving are two sons, Jack of Salt Lake City, Utah, and James of Madison, Wisc.; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter and one sister.

The funeral service was held Friday, Jan. 8 at 10 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church, West Point with burial in Calvary cemetery at West Point. The Rev. Francis Lenoch officiated. The Link Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
