Christopher Dale Carter, 12-day-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Carter of Eagle Grove, died Friday, Dec. 11 about 4 a.m. at an Iowa City hospital.

He was born Nov. 30. He died during surgery for correction of birth defects.

Surviving besides his parents are a brother, Chad Michael at home; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Rex King of Cantril, and Mr. and Mrs. E.D. Carter of Eagle Grove.
