Ralph C. Hixson

Ralph C. Hixson, 71, of Davenport, died Monday, Nov. 16 at noon at Mercy Hospital there.

He was born at Hillsboro on Aug. 13, 1899, the son of Boyd and Mary Hixson. He married Ella Morris in Muscatine on Sept. 5, 1920. She survives.

Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Grace Shellman of Hillsboro, and a brother, Melvin of Paradise, California.

he retired from A.T.&T. in 1962, and operated the Main Street Cigar store for many years in Davenport.

The service was held Wednesday, Nov. 18 at 11 a.m. at Hill and Fredericks Funeral Home in Davenport. A graveside service was conducted Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Oakland Cemetery in Centerville. The Rev. Cecil Latta Officiated.
