Mrs. Margaret Ward

Mrs. Margaret Ward, 67, Riverdale, Ill., a resident of Bonaparte since Aug. 8, died Tuesday, Oct. 20, at 9:30 p.m. at the George Simmons home in Bonaparte.

She was born June 14, 1903, in Bonaparte, the daughter of Frank and Mary Thompson Warner. She spent her childhood near Bonaparte. She married Byron Meek Dec. 24, 1927. He later died. She later married James R. Ward in Nov. of 1957. She was a school teacher, a member of the Ivanhoe Community of the United Methodist church, chapter D.U. of PEO and the Order of Eastern Star.

Surviving are two step-daughters, Mrs. Judy Dennis, Markham, Ill. and Mrs. Betty Larson, Spring Valley, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Simmons and Mrs. Helen Moore, both of Bonaparte; two brothers, Kenneth and Ira Warner, both of Bonaparte.

Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Bonaparte Methodist church, Rev. Edward Maus of Bonaparte officiated. Burial was in the Bonaparte Cemetery. Miller-Hofbauer funeral home in Bonaparte was in charge of arrangements.
