CARL ROGER BENNETT
The funeral service for Carl Roger Bennett, 77, of 6304 Ventura Lane, Central Point, who died Saturday will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Conger-Morris Downtown Chapel, Medford. Commital will follow in East Terrace North Acacia Court within Hillcrest Memorial Park, 2201 North Phoenix Road, Medford. Rev. Vern Shipley of the First Church of Nazarene of Medford will officiated with Conger-Morris Funeral Directors of Medford in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Bennett had been a resident of the Rogue Valley for the past twenty-four years and had been employed as a Ranger with the Oregon State Parks until his retirement in 1968. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #135 AF & AM of Central Point and also of the Shriners. Mr. Bennett had served with the U.S. Army during WWII in the South Pacific.
Survivors in addition to his wife, Eva Bennett, Central Point, include two sons; Grant Bennett, Vacaville, California; William Bennett, Hampton, Illinois; one daughter Esther Eshelman, Iowa City, Iowa; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Oregon Heart Association, 1500 S.W. 12th Street, Portland, Oregon 97201 in memory of Mr. Bennett.
Those who wish may pay their respects Monday until 7:30 p.m. in the Conger-Morris Downtown Chapel 715 W. Main Street, Medford.
Note ~ Carl Bennett was the son of George Wesley Bennett and Myrtle Jane Saddler and was born 11 January 1903 in Bonaparte, Van Buren County, Iowa. He first married Grace Maude Householder on 02 August 1922.
