Mrs. N.E. Crawford

Mrs. Mabel M. Crawford, 73, widow of N.E. Crawford, Stockport, died early Saturday morning, Sept. 12, in Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

She was born May 28, 1897, to Mr. and Mrs. David Buchanan, and married N.E. Crawford, who preceded her in death, Sept. 29, 1962.

Surviving are two daughters, Marjorie Lucas, Keokuk, and Mildred Kraft, of Cody, Wyo.; two sons, Fred, Ellensburg, Wash. and Don at home; four brothers, Harold Buchanan of Birmingham, Floyd of Missoula, Mont., Albert of Graybull, Wyo. and Melvin of Cody Wyo. There are six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren surviving.

Mrs. Crawford was correspondent for the Record-Republican for several years before illness forced her to give it up.

Funeral services were held on the Stockport Christian Church, Wednesday, Sept. 16 with the Rev. Chester C. Werft in charge. Burial was in the Smith Cemetery, near Birmingham. Burch Funeral Home of Birmingham were in charge of arrangements.
