Dr Perry Lee

Perry son of Pleasant and Mary Lee was born in Washington Ia July 26 1861 and departed this life December 18 1934 aged 73 years 4 months and 22 days.

He was united in marriage with Miss Florence[sic her name was Frances]Bales June 25 1887 to which union six children were born Mrs Edna Shriver of Farmington, Mrs Grace Madden of Mt Sterling, Bell who died September 26 1903, Mrs Bessie Coulter of Farmington, Roy of Albia, and Jessie of Las[sic] Angeles Calif.

Mr Lee was a veterinary which occupation he had followed several years. All of his lifetime was spent in Iowa except three years of his residence in Missouri.

He leaves a wife five children 21 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren other relatives and a host of friends to mourn his departure. He was a loyal citizen a good husband and a kind father.

Funeral services were conducted in the M E Church in Cantril Thursday at 11 a m by Rev F M James and burial was in the Spencer Cemetery northeast of Stockport by the side of Myrtle Bell. W W Wellborn Jr, B C Casady, Mrs May Hall, and Mrs F C Wells sang for the funeral. Miss Helen Steinberg was at the piano. Pallbearers were F C Wells, Roy Armstrong, Joe Burkett, Henry Miller, Alfred Hull, and O S Carnahan.
