David E. Winters

Funeral services for David E. Winters, who died Thursday, Aug. 13, were held Monday at the Wellborn Funeral Home in Milton with James D. McKean officiating.

Mr. Winters was born Aug. 30, 1889, near Douds, Iowa, the son of Ben and Elvira Snelling Winters. He married Elizabeth Garrett who preceded him in death.

Surviving are two sons, George Stanley and David Jr., both of Yakima, Wash.; two daughters, Bessie Parker of Bonaparte and Evelyn Martinez of Ft. Worth, Texas.

Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Sadie Cox of Cedar Rapids, and Maude Vickers of Lone Tree; and a brother, Ben Winters Jr. of Sioux City.
