Mrs. Charles Bachman

Mrs. Elsie Bachman, 84, Bloomfield died at 4:40 p.m. Monday, Aug. 10 at the Meadows Mennonite Nursing Home at Meadows, Ill., after a lengthy illness.

She was the daughter of Christian and Susanna Bachman Liechti, born in Berne, Switzerland, on Dec. 15, 1885. She came to the United States and Davis County in 1905. She married Charles Bachman in Marchof 1906, at Wolf River, Wis.

Surviving are two sons, Herman of Bloomfield and Oscar of Milton; a daughter, Mrs. Alice Evans of Ukiah, Calif.; 15 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. Her husband and one daughter preceded her in death.
