Robert Reid Bogle

Robert Reid Bogle, Jr., rural route, Keosauqua, died Wednesday morning, July22, after a short illness.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 25 at 2 P.M. at the Birmingham Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Millard Marshall officiating. Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery, Birmingham. Arrangements were by Burch Funeral Home, Birmingham.

Robert Reid Bogle was born Aug. 15, 1908, in Van Buren Co., the son of Robert Reid and Ellen M. Crum Bogle.

He was married to Lena Jeffrey and later to Olive Van Arkle, who survives. He is also survived by one daughter, Mrs. Barbara Franklin, Ottumwa; three grandchildren, and a brother, William Bogle, Lawndale, Calif. He was preceded in death by a brother.

Before his retirement, Bogle was herdsman at the State School at Woodward. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Masonic Lodge and Elks.
