Gilbert Jones

Gilbert Jones, 87, Salem, died Thursday, June 25, at the Keosauqua nursing home where he had been a patient the last three years.

Mr. Jones was born Dec. 19, 1882, near Salem, Iowa the son of Arthur and Clara Taylor Jones. He operated a saw mill near Salem for 20 years prior to his retirement.

Surviving are two nephews, Wayne Jones, Salem and Kestor Jones, Stockport; two nieces, Mrs. Tom McNirney, Longmount, Colo. and Mrs. Florence Young, St. Cloud, Minn.

Funeral services were held at 2 P.M., Saturday at the Salem Congregational Church with the Rev. Edmund Neubauer officiating. Burial was in Friends Cemetery, Salem. Arrangements by Beatty-Foster Funeral Home, Salem.
