Albert C. Metz

Albert C. Metz, 78, of Argyle, died Sunday, June 21 at 8p.m. in Sacred Heart hospital, Fort Madison, after a three week's illness.

He was born Aug. 9, 1891, in Lee county, the son of Albert Bruce and Anna May Henson Metz. He married Cora Hudson in May 1951 at Kahoka, Mo. She died July 29, 1959.

A retired farmer, he was a lifelong resident of Lee county and lived near Argyle.

His only survivor is a niece, Mrs. Anna May Pezley of Argyle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister.

The funeral service was Wednesday, June 24, at 10 a.m. in Miller's Home for Funerals, Donnellson, with the Rev. William McConnelee officiating. Burial was in Oakland cemetery at Vincennes.
