Floyd Gibson

Floyd Henry Gibson, 75, died Sunday, May 17 at his home at Milton. He was born Nov. 3, 1894 on a farm near Douds, the son of William and Alice Groves Gibson. He served 16 years in the U.S. Navy and obtained the rank of machinicts mate second class. He was a member of the Milton Christian Church.

He married Frances Byrn Worth on Dec. 18, 1952. She survives.

Also surviving are one stepson, Alfred Lee Worth; and four sisters, Mrs. Robert Styre of Ottumwa, Mrs. Milo Glattfelter of Floris, Mrs. Rex Kerr of Keosauqua and Mrs. Wealthy Roth of Cedar Rapids.

The service was held Tuesday, May 19 at 1:30 p.m. at the Milton Christian Church conducted by the Rev. James McKean. Military rites were held at Sunnyside Cemetery.
