Carl F. Kaleff

Carl Franklin Kaleff, son of George and Aurora Wilson Kaleff, was born May 6, 1907, at Mystic, Iowa, and departed this life Saturday, March 7, 1970, at Lutheran Hospital in Moline, Ill. at the age of 62.

On Aug. 6, 1930, he was married to Lala Salter at Ottumwa. She remains to mourn his passing, along with their daughter, Mrs. Jo Ann Ferrel of Birmingham.

Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Helen Jenkins of Ottumwa and Mrs. Goldie Baldwin of Loves Park, Ill., and a brother, George Kaleff of Burlington, other relatives and many friends.

His parents; a son, Carl Edwin, and two sisters preceded him in death.

Prior to his six year period of disability, Carl was employed for 18 years at the Moline Pressed Steel Co. He was a member of the Gospel Temple and the Eagles Lodge, both of Moline.

He will be remembered as a faithful and loving husband and father, who was able to maintain his pleasant manner, even in the face of extended illness.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 10, 1970, at 2 P.M. at the Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, with the Rev. Herbert Phillips of Milton officiating. Mrs. Keith A. Smith was the soloist, accompanied by Mrs. Charley Kunzman. Pall bearers were Theodore Salter, Fred Salters, Frank L. Ferrel, Richard Ferrel, Ralph Gonterman and John Wilhelm. Interment was in the Leando Cemetery.
