Kirk A. Perkins

Kirk A. Perkins, 85, of 311 Blondeau, Keokuk, died Wednesday, March 4, at 2:25 p.m. in St. Joseph hospital, Keokuk, where he had been a patient since January.

He was born Sept. 3, 1884 at Bonaparte, the son of Robert A. and Mary Ann Sherman Perkins.

In December of 1908 at Milton he married Bertha Burrows, who survives.

A former resident of Bonaparte, he moved to Keokuk in 1953. He was a farmer and carpenter. He was a member of the United Methodist Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Beryl Toland of Plymouth, Ill. and Mrs. Dorothy Hassler of Klamath Falls, Oregon; one son, Robert L. Perkins of Sorento, Ill.; and seven grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, two infant daughters and one sister, Mrs. Pat Story.

The funeral service was held Saturday, March 7, at 11 a.m., in the Carl Wilson Home at Bonaparte with the Rev. Edward Maus officiating. Burial was in Bonaparte cemetery. Miller's Home for Funerals was in charge of arrangements.
