Allen B. Carter

Allen B. Carter, 70, a prominent Stockport businessman, died at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital, Keosauqua, early Monday morning, Jan. 26, following a short illness.

Born Nov. 14, 1899, he was the son of William H. and Rosanna Dunkenson Carter.

Survivors include his widow, the former Alice Maree Teeter; three sons, Robert of Ann Arbor, Mich., William of Stockport, and Lt. Richard Carter, with the Air Force at Austin, Tex.; two daughters, Ramona Clark of Stockport and Captain Barbara Carter, a nurse with the Air Force in Germany; eight grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. E.J. Foster of Cantril.

Funeral services were held at 2 P.M. Wednesday, at the Stockport Christian Church, the Rev. Chester C. Werft officiating. Burial in Hillsboro Cemetery. Services in charge of Burch Funeral Home, Birmingham.
