Mrs. George Smith

Mrs. Rose Ella Smith, 88, Cantril, widow of George Smith, died at 5:20 P.M. Sunday, Jan. 25, at the Moore Nursing Home in Stockport.

Born April 9, 1881, at Birmingham, she was the daughter of Jack and Margaret Johnson Kirkhart. Her marriage took place in Cantril on Oct. 14, 1903. Her husband died Jan. 27, 1967.

Mrs. Smith was a member of the Methodist Church and the W.S.C.S.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Harley Bloomquist of Letts; three grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Harry Manning of Davenport.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 P.M., Wednesday at the Cantril Methodist Church, with Rev. Herbert Phillips officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
