William H. Miller

William H. Miller, 75, of Farmington, died Saturday, Dec. 27 at 8 p.m. in the VA hospital at Knoxville, Iowa after a lengthy illness.

He was born Nov. 5, 1894 at Farmington, the son of Albert and Mary Hoyt Miller.

He married Ethel Shaw on Jan. 6, 1944 at Kansas City, Kans. and she survives.

An electrician, Mr. Miller was a lifelong resident of Farmington except for the time he served with the Armed Forces in World War I. He was a member of the German Lutheran church in New Mexico and was a member of the American Legion post at Farmington.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Maxine Miller of Keosauqua; and a stepson, Harold Ellis Shaw of Farmington; one brother, Aaron Miller of Wichita, Kans.; one sister, Mrs. Laura Keller of Farmington; three grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and two brothers.

The funeral service was held Tuesday, Dec. 30, at 1:30 p.m. in the Christian church at Keosauqua with the Rev. Howard McPeak of Keosauqua officiating. Burial was in the National Cemetery at Keokuk.

Miller's Home for Funerals in Farmington was in charge of arrangements.
