Charles Epperly
Charles Epperly, a former long-time Milton resident, died in Mesa, Ariz., Friday morning, Dec. 10.
He operated a DX service station at Milton several years and was formerly in the delivery business.
Born April 8, 1886, at Drakesville, he was the son of Silas and Mattie Smith was married to Beulah Conaway. She died June 6, 1968.
Survivors include one daughter, Lettie Shehan of Des Moines; one son, Ray of Ames; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; 1 brother, Tom Epperly of Marshalltown; and one sister, Lou Gaffin of Longmont, Colo.
The funeral service for Charles Epperly, was Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Milton Christian Church with the Rev. James McKean officiating. Interment was in Sunnyside Cemetery.
