Stanley H. Johnson

The funeral for Stanley H. Johnson, Jr. 26, who died Aug. 30 at University Hospitals in Iowa City, was held Wednesday, Sept. 3 at 2 p.m. at Cantril Methodist Church in Cantril with the Rev. Herbert Phillips officiating. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery. Wellborn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Born May 24, 1943, at Independence, he was the son of Stanley and Mildred Lucke Johnson. He was married to Patricia Chaves May 4, 1963. She survives.

Also surviving are his father, living in Cedar Rapids; his step-father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Hale Conlee of Milton; one son, Stephen Todd, at home; two brothers, William, with the Navy in Bermuda and David, with the Air Force in Vietnam; and one sister, Janet Norris of Los Angeles, California.
