Howard A. Pinnell

Howard A. Pinnell, son of Andrew J. and Mary Anderson Pinnell, was born March 19, 1890 in Davis County near Milton, Iowa, and died Aug. 12, 1969 at the Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield following an illness of several months. He lived in the Milton area until he moved to Ottumwa in 1930.

On Oct. 24, 1909 he was united in marriage to Vera O. Harbin at Cantril, Iowa.

A retired service station operator, he was a member of the Davis Street Christian Church.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother. Surviving are his wife Vera; his son, Floyd L. of Ypsilanta, Mich.; his daughter, Mrs. Genevieve Avery of Ottumwa; two granddaughters, Mrs. Marilyn Yeager of Ottumwa and Mrs. Jill Hansen of Lansing, Mich.; five grandchildren; a brother, Leland Pinnell, Denver, Colo.; two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Morris of Cedar Falls and Mrs. Alma McGee of Monmouth, Ill.; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held at the Johnson Funeral Home in Ottumwa with the Rev. Herbert E. Phillips officiating. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery, Milton.
