Mrs. Charles Green

Mrs. Maude A. Green, 85, of Farmington, died Tuesday, July 15, at 11:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart hospital, Fort Madison after a lengthy illness.

She was born Aug. 30, 1883 in Clark County, Mo. She married Charles W. Green on Jan. 29, 1900 at Kahoka, Mo. He died Feb. 26, 1961.

They moved to Farmington 33 years ago from a farm.

She is survived by one son, Harley Green of Orange, New Jersey; one daughter, Mrs. John (Bertha) Tanner of Paradise, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. C.E. Lindquist, Fort Madison and Mrs. Ethel Simmons of Aurora, Colo.; one brother, Emery Folker of Fort Madison; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The funeral service was held Friday, July 18, at 10:30 a.m. in Miller's Home for Funerals in Farmington with the Rev. Edward K. Maus officiating. Burial was in Christy cemetery eight miles southwest of Farmington.
