R.G. Hagler

Funeral services for Roulette (R.G.) Hagler, 75, who died Monday, June 9, were held Thursday, June 12 at 2 p.m. at the Milton United Methodist Church. Rev. Herbert Phillips officiated. Interment was in Sunnyside Cemetery.

The son of David and Emma Smith Hagler, He was born Nov. 1894. He was married to Esther Slonaker on June 15, 1919, she died Nov. 22, 1960.

He was a member of the Milton United Methodist Church and the American Legion, having served overseas in World War I.

His early married years were spent farming, moving to Milton twenty some years ago where he built a new shop, doing all kinds of welding and repair work, especially on lawn mowers. He helped everybody in need.

Casket bearers were Claude Fuller, Lee Cudiff, Jim Andrews, William Strait, Bonar Bell and Neil Kingsinger. Arrangements were in charge of Wellborn Funeral Home.
