Mrs. Lowell Penrod

Mrs. Willa Marie Penrod, 59, wife of Lowell Penrod, Milton, died at St. Joseph Hospital in Ottumwa at 7:45 p.m. Sunday, May 25. She had been ill about 4 months.

The daughter of Michael and Mattie Keller Moore, she was born in Van Buren County, July 15, 1909. She was a life resident of the county and was affiliated with Troy United Methodist Church. Her marriage took place Dec. 22, 1928, at Troy. Her husband survives.

Also surviving are one son, Richard of rural Milton, and 3 granddaughters.

The funeral was at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield, conducted by the Rev. Harold Day, assisted by the Rev. John Davis. Interment was in Rouch Cemetery, in Davis County.
