Mrs. Mabel A. Dyer

Mrs. Mabel A. Dyer, 84, of Donnellson, a resident of the Farmington Rest Home the past four years, died Wednesday, April 16, at 9:30 p.m. in the Farmington Rest Home. She had been in failing health for years.

The former Mabel A. Cochran, she was born March 22, 1885 near New Boston, Iowa, the daughter of Glenn L. and Jerry Armstrong Cochran.

She lived in the New Boston area until she moved to Farmington four years ago. She was a member of the New Boston United Methodist church.

Her husband, Ephrian Dyer, preceded her in death.

Surviving is a son, Claude Dyer of Donnellson and two grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter and a grandchild.

The funeral service was held Saturday, April 19 at 10 a.m. in Miller's Home for Funerals in Donnellson with the Rev. Victor Engelman officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery, Keokuk.
