Keith Helsel

Keith Helsel, 50, of Des Moines, an auditor for Farmers Co op, died suddenly at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 13, while at a service station in Des Moines.

He was born Sept. 20, 1918 at Donnellson, the son of Dr. Frank V. and Mary Forbes Helsel.

He spent his childhood in Donnellson and attended school there. A resident of Des Moines for the past 5 or 6 years, he resided in Clinton for several years and also lived in the State of Washington for a number of years.

Mr. Helsel was a member of the Donnellson Presbyterian church.

He was a bachelor. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Mary Helsel of Donnellson; four brothers, Earl of Morristown, New Jersey, Lyle of Naperville, Ill., Dwight of Miami, Fla., and Wayne of Greenville, Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Services were held Wednesday, April 16 at 10 a.m. in Millers Home for Funerals at Donnellson. Rev. Denley Ganfield officiated. Burial was in Evangelical Cemetery at Donnellson.
