Kendall Lee Gray

On July 20, 1954, the home of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Arden Gray of Bonaparte was blessed by the coming of a baby son, Kendall Lee, but it seems as if the Great Gardener had loaned this child for a few short years to the care of loving parents and now has need of him in His Heavenly Garden; so on the afternoon of March 20, 1969, at about 2:30 in his home, he departed this life at the age of 14 years and 8 months.

Kendall was baptized into the United Methodist Church at Bonaparte when he was 1 year old. For several years Kendall had been afflicted with Muscular Dystrophy. All that medical skill, good nursing and tireless and patient care and love could do was done to relieve his patient suffering. Kendall was deprived of many of the pleasures of life because of his infirmities, but through it all maintained great patience and cheerfulness and a loveable disposition. He added much sunshine to this home and will be sadly missed by all those that knew and loved him.

He leaves to mourn his departure: his parents, one sister, Lana and her husband, Tasos Anthony; an uncle, Ira Adkins, and other relatives and many, many friends. He was preceded in death by a brother Callen Lynn, both sets of Grandparents, and his only aunt, Mrs. Ira Adkins.
