Frank E. Pickett

Funeral services for Frank E. Pickett, 82, formerly of Ottumwa were held Monday, March 3, at 10 a.m., at the Carl Johnson Funeral Home in Ottumwa. Burial was in the Ottumwa Cemetery.

Pickett died Thursday, Feb. 27, in the Mennonite Hospital in Beatrice, Nebr., where he had been a patient since January 5. He made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Forrest Schwengels, Col. Schwengels and family of Beatrice, also former residents.

Pickett was born Sept. 9, 1886, in Keosauqua, and was married to Adeline Pedrick who preceded him in death in 1954.

He was a member of the Willard Street United Methodist Church of Ottumwa. He was employed by the Ottumwa Courier for 40 years.

Besides his daughter, he is survived by one son, Paul Pickett of Fayette, seven grandchildren and one great-grandfather.
