Mrs. Myrtle Knowles

The funeral for Mrs. Myrtle Knowles, 89, of Pascagoula, Miss., who died Wednesday, Feb. 19 was held Saturday, Feb. 22 at 2 p.m. at Stockport Christian Church with the Rev. Chester Werft in charge. Burial was in Spencer Cemetery, near Stockport.

Born Oct. 29, 1879, in Van Buren County, she was the daughter of Robert and Susan Funk Edwards. In 1899, she married Laffayette Knowles. He died in 1950. For the past 10 years she had lived with her daughter, Juanita DeCamp, at Pascagoula.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. DeCamp and Mrs. Beatrice White of Newton; three sons, Edward (Red) of Newton, LaMar of Bonaparte, and Ray of Paramount, Calif.; one brother, George of Stockport; seven grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
