Mrs. Birdie Scott

Mrs. Birdie Nancy Carr Scott, 77, Milton, died at Van Buren Co. Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua Sunday, Feb. 23, at 1:30 P.M.

Born Feb. 13, 1892, in Norfolk, Va., she was the daughter of George W. and Mary Hart Hilton. On April 4, 1909, she was married to James Henry Carr. On July 11, 1945, she married Floyd B. Scott. He died in 1961.

Survivors include one daughter, Virginia Selle of Pulaski, with whom Mrs. Scott had lived many years; three sons, James E. Carr of Wayne, Mich., Melvin C. Carr of Indianapolis, Ind., and George L. Carr of California; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two brothers, George of West Virginia and Casper of Columbus, Ohio.

Funeral services were held at 2 P.M. Wednesday at the Milton Christian Church, of which she was a member. The Rev. James McKean officiated. Buiral(err) was in Sunnyside Cemetery, Milton. Arrangements were by Wellborn Funeral Home, Milton.
