Wayne Billingsley

Wayne E. Billingsley, 58, of Wayland, died Friday night, Feb. 7 at University Hospitals, Iowa City, where he had been a patient since Jan. 15.

Mr. Billingsly was born Dec. 2, 1910 in Henry county, the son of Elmo and Mabel Brown Billingsley. He married Pauline Hudson, July 29, 1932.

Mr. Billingsley had been manager of the Farmers and Merchants Mutual Telephone Company, Wayland, since 1951.

Surviving are his mother, his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Geraldine Manchester, Libertyville; a sister, Helen Johnson, Bonaparte; and 4 grandchildren.

Services were held Monday, Feb. 11 at 1:30 p.m. at the Cottonwood United Methodist Church, Wayland, Rev. Earl Strayfeller was in charge. Burial was at Hillsboro.
