Guy L. Hustead

Guy L. Hustead, 82, Cantril, died at Davis County Hospital, Bloomfield, Saturday, Oct. 26 at 10:30 A.M.

He was born Aug. 14, 1886, the son of James and Chloe Jane Bowen Hustead. On Sept. 15, 1909, he married Hazel Norris of Cantril. She survives. Also surviving are one daughter, L. Jane Smith of Cantril; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Mabel Biggs of Arbela, Mo.

He began working as the depot agent at Cantril at an early age. He was later active in various fields of merchandising. He was a member of Cantril Christain Church, was a member of the board and served as teacher for the men's Sunday School class many years He spent many years helping to establish the IMO Christian Service Camp at Stiles. He was vice president of Cantril State Bank and was honored as a 50 year Mason on Jan. 9, 1958.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at Cantril Christian Church with the Rev. James McKean, the Rev. Herbert Phillips and Apollo Masonic Lodge in charge. Burial was in the Hustead Mausoleum at Maple Grove Cemetery, Cantril. The Wellborn Funeral Home at Milton was in charge of arrangements.
