MRS. NORA KIRKHART

Mrs. Nora Kirkhart, 80, passed away Saturday morning, Sept. 17 at the Fairfield Convalescent Home where she was a patient. She had been in failing health for several months and critically ill for three days after suffering a fatal heart attack.

Nora, the youngest child of Greer and Mary Tedrow McKee, was born Dec. 12, 1885, on a farm in Jefferson County, three miles northwest of Birmingham. She was educated in the rural schools of Jefferson County, where she lived her entire life.

On Feb. 21, 1911 she was married to Pearl Kirkhart at the home of her parents. To this union was born one daughter, Ethel Margaret, who passed away at the age of three months. Mr. Kirkhart preceded his wife in death on Jan. 7, 1966. Six brothers and three sisters are also deceased.

Mrs. Kirkhart was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Birmingham, having been received into membership Feb. 21, 1903.

Two sisters, Mrs. Rosetta Lawson of the Bethany Home and Dr. Jennie McKee of Philadelphia, Pa. survive, besides a number of nieces and nephews.
