David Brown

David Brown, 92-year-old life resident of Van Buren county, died at 4 a.m. Friday, July 8 in the Moore nursing home at Stockport.

He was the son of Thomas and Julia Van Fleet Brown, and was born Feb. 26, 1874, near Milton. He was married to Claudia Merritt of Memphis, Mo. She died May 25, 1926.

Mr. Brown was of the Methodist faith.

Surviving are a son, Robert Brown of Stockport; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, T.E. Brown of Burlington. A daughter died in infancy and two brothers and three sisters also died previously.

Services were held Sunday, July 10 at 3:30 p.m. at the Catcott Funeral Home in Keosauqua. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery at Milton.
