Jesse Lynn Jemison

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Catcott Funeral Home for Jesse Lynn Jemison, 67, of Mt. Sterling. Mr. Jemison died at 2 p.m. Thursday in Van Buren County Memorial Hospital which he had entered on Tuesday.

Burial was in the Pittsburg Cemetery. The Rev. Herbert Phillips officiated.

The son of Warren J. and Laura E. Knowles Jemison, he was born in Van Buren County Aug. 12, 1898. He was a member of the Mt. Sterling Methodist Church. He was not married.

He is survivied by two brothers, L.F. Jemison of Ottumwa and R.M. Jemison of Oskaloosa; a sister, Mrs. Wilda Syfert of Kansas City; a nephew and a niece.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Wanda Jemison, in 1948.
