David R. Harr
David Harvey Harr, son of Amanda and Rudolph Harr, was born near Athens, Clark County Missouri, on February 25, 1884, and passed away April 18 at Iowa City after a lengthy illness.
He grew up in the locality where he was born and attended the schools of Clark County.
He was a member of the American Legion and served his country for the duration of World War I.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
He is survived by three nieces, Mrs. Mamye Gilbert of Kahoka, Mrs. Fern Hufford of Revere, Mo. and Mrs. Thelma Crown of Farmington; and one nephew, Clarence Daiel of Kahoka, Mo.; other relatives and a host of friends.
The funeral service was held Thursday, Apr. 21 at 1:30 p.m. in the Gutting Funeral Chapel at Kahoka with the Rev. Thomas Russell officiating. Burial was in the National cemetery at Keokuk with military rites.
