Roy Parker Hughes

Roy Parker Hughes, 61, died March 22, 1966 at his home near San Andreas, Calif. of a heart attack.

Born Oct. 6, 1904, near Mt. Sterling, Iowa, the son of John W. and Martha Ann Hughes. On Feb. 14, 1928 he married Racheal Snyder. To this union three sons and one daughter were born, Craig Eugene of Temple City, Harold Dean of Covina, Gary of Orange and Marilyn Thomure of Covina, also 10 grandchildren, all living in California.

Surviving besides his wife and children are five sisters, Mrs. Lela Holmes of Bonaparte, Mrs. Lola McIntosh of Titusville, Fla., Mrs. Lulu Beggs of Burlington, Mrs. Lenora Peacock of Keosauqua, Mrs. Louise Wolf of Fort Madison; also seven brothers, Russell of Titusville, Fla., Rupert and Roscoe of Keosauqua, Reginald of Los Gatos, Calif., Raymond of Boulder, Colo., Robert of Sacramento, Calif, Rex of Des Moines, Iowa.

Funeral services were held March 24 in Gardella Mortuary in San Andreas, Calif. with burial in San Andreas.
