MRS. GRACE JOHNSTON

Mrs. Grace Johnston, 83, died Wednesday, March 23 at Centerville after a brief illness.

She was born Nov. 12, 1882, near Birmingham, the daughter of Joseph and Esther Bennett. On April 17, 1900, she married Harley Johnston. He preseded(err) her in death Sept. 9, 1954.

Mrs. Johnston is survived by two children, Mrs. Alta Larson of Chariton and Charles Johnston of Centerville. Also surviving are four grandchildren. One son is deceased.

Services were held Friday, Mar. 25 at 2 p.m. at the Burch Funeral Home, Birmingham, in charge of the Rev. Ora Reep. Burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery.
