Nicholas (Nin) Young

The funeral service for Nicholas (Nin) Young, 86, of Kahoka, Mo. was held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in the Methodist church at Farmington. The Rev. Leroy Moore officiated. Burial was in the Scandinavian cemetery. Miller's Home for Funerals at Farmington was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Young died Thursday, Mar. 10, at 3:10 p.m. at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Angeline Miller Hooper at Kahoka after a lengthy illness.

He was born Nov. 25, 1879 at Chambersburg, Mo., the son of Nicholas and Angeline Parigo Young.

On Feb. 18, 1901 at Keokuk he married Lorine Fox. She preceded him in death.

He had worked on the railroad and in mining operations.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Flora Kay Van Doren and Mrs. Angeline Miller Hooper, both of Kahoka; and one son, Laurence M. Young of Albia; 28 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded by his wife, two sons and one daughter.
