ORA BEER

KEOSAUQUA - Ora Beer, 87, died Wednesday afternoon at Van Buren Memorial Hospital. She was hospitalized after suffering a fall 10 days ago.

She was born June 18, 1890 to Andrew J. and Emma Stevens Beer at the Beer homestead near Center Chapel south of Keosauqua.

She was employed for many years at the Student Union at Iowa State University in Ames, returning to Keosauqua in 1962.

Several nieces and nephews survive.

She was a member of Center Chapel United Methodist Church, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, the Rev. John Cornish officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

A memorial has been established to the church.

The Pedrick Funeral Home at Keosauqua is in charge of arrangements.
