BLANCHE FOLKER

FARMINGTON - Blanche E. Folker, 79, of Farmington, died Thursday night at her home.

Born Aug. 17, 1879, in Nova Scotia, Canada, to James and Adella Grove Lukman, she was a teacher in Nova Scotia prior to coming to the United States in 1919. A former Farmington resident, she moved to Kahoka, Mo., for several years, then moved back to Farmington one year ago.

She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Farmington. She married Earl Folker May 5, 1920, in Bar Harbor, Maine.

Surviving are her widower, Earl; three brothers, Herbert Lukman of Canso, Nova Scotia, James Lukmand of Sidney, Nova Scotia and Thomas Lukman of Antiganish, Nova Scotia; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Whorton and Mrs. Eva McMillen, both of Antiganish, Nova Scotia.

Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. in St. Boniface Catholic Church with Father Dennis Martin officiating. Burial will be Acasto Cemetery. The body is at the Karle-Shaeffer Funeral Home in Kahoka, Mo. where the Rosary will be recited Monday at 7 p.m.
