MILDRED PEARSON

BATAVIA - Mrs. Mildred M. Pearson, 77, died Saturday evening at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

She was born May 30, 1900 at Fulton County, Ill. to Henry and Chloie Elwell Sellers. She married Ray Pearson Jan. 31, 1923.

She had lived in Van Buren and Jefferson counties the past 60 years, in Batavia the past 11.

She was a member of Douds United Methodist Church and the ODO Club in Batavia.

Survivors include her husband; daughters Josephine Anderson of Fairfield, Chloe Hewitt and Margaret HFall of Keokuk, Judith Wilkinson of Bloomfield and Evy Smith of Ottumwa; sons John and David of Batavia, Ralph and Roscoe of Birmingham, James of Pulaski and George of Davenport; brothers Roland and Leroy Sellers of Ottumwa, George Seller of Douds; 36 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Campbell Funeral Chapel in Batavia, the Rev. Kermit Black officiating. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery near Douds. Visitation will be at 7 p.m. today.
