LAURA RIDER

FARMINGTON - Mrs. Laura A. Rider, 91, of Farmington, died today at 12:30 a.m. in Keokuk Area East Hospital at Keokuk.

She was born Dec. 30, 1885, at Donnellson to Peter and Elizabeth Seyb Lang. A lifetime Farmington resident, she was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society.

On March 6, 1906, she married Otto Roth. He died in 1925. She married Ola E. Rider on Oct. 18, 1930, at Farmington. He survives.

Also surviving are one son, Gerald Roth of Palmyra, Mo.; one daughter, Mrs. Gladys Hoover of Fort Dodge; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Cecelia Astry of Deming, N.M.; four stepsons, Edward Rider of Donnellson, Robert and Tom Rider, both of Farmington, and Paul Rider of Hilliard, Ohio; 26 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

The service will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Boniface Church, with the Rev. Dennis Martin officiating. Burial will be in Greenglade Cemetery.

The parish Rosary will be recited Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington.

A memorial has been established payable to her church.
