DONALD C. JARVIS

KEOSAUQUA - Donald C. Jarvis, 80, of Keosauqua, died Thursday at 10 p.m. at Van Buren County Hospital, where he was admitted three weeks ago.

He was born June 29, 1896, at Morning Sun to Samuel and Sophia Casten Jarvis.

On Dec. 24, 1921, he married Alma Hank in Burlington. They lived in Louisa and Des Moines counties as well as in Wisconsin and Missouri. They farmed 17 years south of Douds until retiring in 1976 to Keosauqua. He also had been a carpenter.

He attended the Keosauqua Congregational Church.

Surviving are his widow; one son, William of Wapello; three brothers; and three sisters.

The service will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with burial in the Wapello, Iowa, Cemetery.
