EMILY S. MORROW
KEOSAUQUA - Emily S. Morrow, 84, of Keosauqua, died Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Van Buren County Hospital, where she was admitted Wednesday.
She was born March 25, 1893, in Lee County to John and Margaret Alcorn Patterson. On Dec. 22, 1922, she married James A. Morrow at Fort Madison. They lived in several Iowa communities and moved in 1939 to their farm south of Keosauqua. He died in 1970, and she moved to town.
She was a member of the Keosauqua United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Golden Agers.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Bruce Harryman Jr. of Douds; two sons, Robert of Sturgis, Mich., and Richard of East Moline, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Keosauqua United Methodist Church, with the Rev. John Cornish officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery near Fort Madison.
The body is Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.
A memorial has been established payable to her church.
