LILLIAN BEARD

FARMINGTON - Lillian E. Beard, 83, of Farmington, died today at 2:30 a.m. at her home.

Born Sept. 5, 1893, at Farmington, to Eli and Anna Foster Wiley, she spent most of her life on the same farm. She was a member of the Sharon Presbyterian Church, the United Presbyterian Women, the Big Mound Ladies Aide and Magnolia Chapter 276 O.E.S. at Bonaparte.

She married Cass W. Beard Oct. 11, 1916 at West Des Moines. He preceded her in death.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Earle Nelson of Keokuk and Mrs. Hilbert Neuendorf of Farmington; one sister, Ruth Wiley, who made her home with Mrs. Beard; and four grandchildren.

Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in the Sharon Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Kenneth Harden officiating. Burial will be in Sharon Cemetery. The body is at Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home in Donnellson where the family will be Sunday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. A memorial has been established payable to the Sharon Church.
