JOSPEH W. SWIERS

KEOSAUQUA - Joseph W. Swiers, 50, of Littleton, Colo., formerly of Keosauqua, died March 7 of cancer after a 15-month illness. The funeral was held March 10 in Littleton.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Mr. Swiers was born Dec. 21, 1926, in Keosauqua, where he was reared and educated. He attended the University of Denver and was vice president of Carson, Inc., a wholesale restaurant supply firm.

He was a member of Oriental Masonic Lodge 87, the Denver Rotary and the Colorado-Wyoming Restaurant Association.

On June 6, 1964, he married Ann Zabriskie. She survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Joanne Randall and Melaine Creed, both of Denver, and Brenda Konrady of Casper, Wyo.; his mother, mary Reinertson of Denver; one brother, Richard of Argyle; two sisters, Margaret Reed of Keosauqua and Patricia Cantrell of Denver; and one granddaughter.
