Ottumwa, Iowa, Tuesday, November 2, 1976

MAJOR RICHARDSON

MILTON - Major I. Richardson, 85, of Milton Route 1, died Monday at 6:40 p.m. at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

He was born March 12, 1891,in Brooklyn, Iowa, to Ira and Amelia Richardson. A resident of Van Buren and Davis counties most of his life, he was a retired schoolteacher and farmer.

On June 23, 1912, he married Hazel Maude Law at Troy. She died in 1969.

Suviving are two daughters, Helen Brooks of Brooklyn and Maxine Meredith of Ottumwa; three sons, Robert of Tempe, Ariz., Merle of Milton and David of Fairfield; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The service will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with the Rev. Harold Harryman officiating. Burial will be in the Troy Cemetery.

The family will be at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

A memorial has been established payable to the kidney foundation.
