FULLER E. BARTHOLOMEW

KEOSAUQUA - Fuller E. Bartholomew, 69, died of a heart attack at 2 a.m. Sunday morning at his farm home south of Keosauqua. He had suffered from a heart condition for several years, but had been doing his regular farm work; his death was unexpected.

The son of Ezra and Stella McGowan Bartholomew, he was born Feb. 12, 1907 near Bentonsport, and lived his entire life in Van Buren County. He had served as a Keosauqua volunteer fireman and was active in the Sheep Empire Association during his earlier years. On Dec. 25, 1927, he married Marie Arnold in Keosauqua; she survives.

Also surviving are a son, Larry, and a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Linn, both of Keosauqua; nine grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Eliza Gordon, Mrs. LaVanchee Benedict, Mrs. Kate Arnold and Mrs. Madeline Huff all of Keosauqua, and Mrs. Lenabelle Gares of Bonaparte; and two brothers, Oscar and Clark, both of Puyallup, Wash.

Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Keosauqua United Methodist Church with the Rev. Millard Marshall of Olathe, Ks. and the Rev. John Cornish, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in the Center Chapel Cemetery, south of Keosauqua.

Arrangements are in charge of Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua.
